Charm Card Robbed Me

On the morning of July 07-2011. On bus route number 55 I added $10.00 to my charm card. On July 08-2011 I checked the charm card website to make sure the $10.00 transaction was properly processed. It was not. I called the number on the back of the card to request my refund. They took some general information. Then I was told to expect a refund check in the mail within 15 days. I thought everything was well.

Then on July 12-2011 I received a phone call from a charm card representative. The representative told me that MTA needed more information. The MTA wanted me to provide them with the coach number of the bus the transaction was made on. How many people take a mental or other note of the coach number of the bus they are traveling on. I told them I did not have the coach number. Then the charm card rep said I should call MTA to try to track down the coach number. MTA told me to call charm card. Charm card told me to call MTA again. At that point I had enough. So I shredded the charm card and will not be using it again. No where in any literature produced by MTA or by the charm card states that you need to keep a mental note of the coach number to receive a refund. I provided them with the time of day and the route number. So if you plan on using the charm card do not forget to write down the coach number of the bus where you added money to your card in case something goes wrong with the transaction.
